*How old do you have to be to climb?
Individuals of all ages are always welcome at Trailhead, but we require that children be at least four years old to climb!
*How old do you have to be to belay?
Climbers must be at least fourteen years old to become belay certified.
*Do I need to make an appointment?
Anyone can come in during normal business hours without an appointment. If you plan to bring in a large group without booking a party, it is always a good idea to call ahead to let us know you are coming! For groups of ten or more, we appreciate at least a one week notice.
*Can I reserve a belayer in advance?
Unfortunately, belayers are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, and therefore are unable to be reserved in advance.
*What does the tape mean?
The tape on the walls mark routes for climbing.
*What do the route ratings mean?
Routes are rated using the Yosemite Decimal System.
*What is the hardest wall?
Our walls are 50 ft. high, with routes ranging in difficulty from 5.5 to 5.12.
* How many walls do you have?
Trailhead Climbing currently offers 20 walls with 33 different routes. Routes are changed frequently, so check back soon to see our latest offerings!
